The GS Group investment and industry holding company will take part in the 1st Meeting of Russian technology parks, which will be held on November 13-14, 2014 at Skolkovo Technopark in Moscow. Andrew Bezrukov, Director for Strategic Marketing, GS Group will unveil the features of private clusters development and state supportive measures of innovative formations by the example of Technopolis GS (the town of Gusev, Kaliningrad region). Representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, RVC, Moscow Innovation Development Centre, Academpark, Skolkovo Technopark, Intel, Google and other companies will also attend the event.
Andrew Bezrukov, Director for Strategic Marketing, GS Group, will participate in the first day of the Meeting. He will report on the topic "Example of a private technology park. Key directions of state support provided for private innovation clusters". The speaker will unveil the features, opportunities and limitations of the development of private technoparks in Russia along with basic conditions for attracting private investments and state support by the example of innovation territorial cluster Technopolis GS which is the project, developed by GS Group in the special economic zone of the Kaliningrad region since 2008. Currently the cluster comprises of six high-tech industries, R&D and educational centers, business incubator and residential area. According to Andrew Bezrukov, further development of the innovation cluster is closely related to legislative initiatives aimed at improving the situation of the SEZ residents. These initiatives include introducing the category "portfolio investor", granting tax incentives, subsidizing part of the cost of transport, housing and construction of social and educational facilities.
The 1st Meeting of Russian technology parks will also feature a series of panel discussions and round tables dedicated to urgent issues of industrial parks ecosystem development. One of the discussions will address the interaction of technoparks and universities. Technopolis GS carries out a large-scale career-guidance program GS Prof. The program embraces working with core educational institutions – Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University in Kaliningrad and Petrozavodsk State University, – holding the International physics and mathematics contests for school students of non-capital cities, arranging regular tours to manufactures for local schools students. GS Prof aims to involve highly qualified young professionals who live in Gusev, Kaliningrad region, and got industry-specific education with support of Technopolis GS, to work at enterprises of the innovation cluster.
The first Meeting of technoparks in Skolkovo is intended to turn into the unified communication platform for representatives of technology parks, business incubators, institutes for development, core universities and government authorities to share experience and exchange contacts. It is expected to attract more than 180 industry participants. Issues of cooperation among innovative structures, private investors, state, educational institutions, vendors and international partners, along with business models and success stories of private industrial parks are claimed for discussion. The event is organized by Skolkovo Technopark with the assistance of Association of Technoparks in the field of High Technologies.
