Summing up the year’s results, it is important to note that it was a challenging year, but productive to a large extent. Owing to the hard work of all the holding company departments and business units and effective cooperation with partners, GS Group achieved success in all the business areas, expanded its international presence, released a series of technological innovative solutions, thus, confirming its role as the leader of the Russian telecommunications industry.
Digital Television Systems (DTVS), OJSC, a part of the innovation cluster Technopolis GS, located in the town of Gusev, Kaliningrad region, launched the smart cards production line. The enterprise will start releasing the access cards for subscribers of the leading Russian satellite television provider Tricolor TV at the end of December 2014. Sales market is supposed to be further expanded by attracting other customers.
This year the GS Nanotech enterprise, a part of the innovation cluster Technopolis GS, Kaliningrad region, was the first in Russia to launch commercial microprocessor under SiP technology (System-in-Package) mass production. The new GS Nanotech SiP Amber S2 microcircuit was fully developed by the GS Nanotech R&D Department. The enterprise itself is the country’s largest microelectronic product development and manufacturing center and the only back-end facility that provides multi-chip design and packaging using SiP technology on a contract basis.
On December 6, 2014 the Sports and Recreation Center in the town of Gusev hosted a ceremony in honor of the 65th anniversary of the children's home Rostok (Sprout), supervised by the innovation territorial cluster Technopolis GS for three years. The celebration program embraced the mini-football tournament arranged by the GS Group holding company, promoter and general investor of Technopolis GS.
The art space "Gate" (Sackheim Gate) in Kaliningrad will host a photo exhibition "The birth of the creative town", dedicated to the innovation cluster Technopolis GS. The exhibition held on December 19, 2014 will feature works of the winners of the international photo contest organized by the GS Group holding company with support of the Kaliningrad Union of Photo Artists.
On November 28, 2014 Andrew Bezrukov, Director for Strategic Marketing of GS Group, spoke at the Federal Economic Forum "Russian cluster week 2014" held with the assistance of the innovation territorial cluster Technopolis GS. The speaker’s report on the major vectors of state support for private innovation clusters has attracted attention of representatives of the Ministry for Economic Development of the Russian Federation and the Association of Technoparks in the sphere of High Technologies.
Valery Gusarov, Quality Director of Digital Television Systems, JSC, and curator of the Technopolis GS volunteer movement on restoration of military burials sites of World War I in the territory of Kaliningrad region delivered lectures for students of the Kaliningrad Lyceum №49 on November 29, 2014. The lectures were dedicated to "Problems of preserving the national memory of the First World War. Experience of the private initiative by the GS Group holding company."
The CSR program conducted by the GS Group holding company was presented at the national conference “Corporate social responsibility-2014/2015” held in Moscow on November 28, 2014. The program is carried out at the innovation cluster Technopolis GS in the town of Gusev, Kaliningrad region. The conference attendees included representatives of PR- and HR departments of the leading Russian and foreign companies such as Coca Cola HBC Eurasia, Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Rus, Alfa Bank, Lukoil, Uralsib, MegaFon, Russian Public Opinion Research Center and others.
