Technopolis GS will present innovative enterprises at the international exhibition Hannover Messe’2013

On April 8-12, Technopolis GS will present its innovative enterprises at one of the largest worldwide exhibitions of high technologies, innovations and industrial automation “Hannover Messe” in Germany.

The project “Territory of scientific and technical development Technopolis GS”, which has been developing in the Kaliningrad region since 2008, will demonstrate to the international audience capabilities of operating cutting-edge production facilities – the plants “Digital Television Systems”, “Prankor”, and the micro- and nanoelectronics research and production center GS Nanotech. The general investor and initiator of the project is General Satellite Corporation, the largest Russian designer and manufacturer of TV receiving equipment.

The purpose for the only Russian private innovation cluster participation in the international innovations forum in Hannover is to show the research and manufacturing potential of the cluster, representing new capabilities of Russia in this sphere. In such context Technopolis GS team did their best. The plant “Digital Television Systems” is the largest enterprise in Eastern Europe and CIS producing digital satellite and terrestrial receivers. The micro and nano-electronics development, research and production center GS Nanotech is the first and the only mass-production in Russia which allows to package and test memory modules and microprocessors with topology of 40 nm in BGA, QFN, PBGA, PQFN cases.

New materials development has been declared one of the top-priority subjects for Russia taking part in the exhibition. Thus, production of nanocarbon materials recently launched in Technopolis GS will be presented at the stand of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation at the exhibition. The work-station for production of carbon nanostructured material (CNM) was created in the course of in-depth scientific research and serious technological development efforts. Adding CNM in a variety of materials (concrete mixtures, paint, electrode materials and many others) can significantly improve their properties.

Besides, at the forum of inventions and innovations “Hannover Messe’2013” Technopolis GS will announce and present to the public the project of GS Ecopulp, the sixth hi-tech full-cycle European quality production of molded paper packaging. Gearing to the high level of technology and services, as well as protection of environment, it is to become the largest innovative manufacturer of molded paper in the North-West region of Russia already by the year 2016. The begining of the plant building is scheduled for May 2013.
