On March 18-19, Technopolis GS welcomed representatives of Compass-EOS company (Israel), a manufacturer of electronic data transmitting devices accompanied by a delegate from ROSNANO. The guests interested in technological capabilities of contract production within the Technopolis GS highly estimated the innovation cluster in the Kaliningrad region.
Compass-EOS Deputy President Roni Miran and Technical Director Zeev Yoffe together with ROSNANO Leading Analyst Ivan Periyanov visited all the five running manufactures of the Technopolis GS. On behalf of General Satellite, the general investor of Technopolis GS, they were accompanied by Development Director Alexander Kolpyshev.
First the guests were invited to the newest and most hi-tech-oriented enterprise within the Technopolis GS innovations cluster, the center for research and manufacture of micro- and nanoelectronics GS Nanotech, the only Russian plant offering encapsulating microprocessors for external customers. The delegation got the idea of the whole technological process, viewed product samples, visited clean rooms. Israeli colleagues highly estimated GS Nanotech production capacities, being particularly interested in the encapsulation technologies engaged at the factory.
At the “White Key” House-building factory the delegation was demonstrated comfortable and affordable custom-made cottages upon the volumetric-modular technology. The cottages now occupying the factory shop floors have been designed for Technopolis GS residential area that is currently being developed. Compass-EOS representatives noted the social importance of the projects aimed at offering affordable housing to Technopolis GS residents. The Israeli delegation was highly impressed by the benefits of the volumetric modular technology that allows mounting a cottage at any place as well as adding supplementary modules.
Manufacture organized at First Carton Factory which is the largest producer of packaging material in the Kaliningrad region surprised the guests with high production rates and compactness. Compass-EOS Deputy President Roni Miran having expertise in the field of packaging production noted high quality technology and skillfully arranged labor management.
At Prankor, specialized in manufacture of TV antennas and set-top box cases, the guests learnt the details of the technological process, product features and stamping quality control methods.
Israeli colleagues got especially interested in the manufacture of nanocarbon materials recently launched in Technopolis GS. The work station for carbon nanostructured material production was developed in the course of in-depth scientific research and serious R&D efforts. Adding CNM in a variety of materials (concrete mixture, paint, electrode materials and many others) can significantly improve their characteristics. At the end of the visit the representatives of Compass-EOS visited Public Company NPO “Digital Television Systems”, a modern contract manufacture of radio-electronic equipment. “We are impressed with the high level of technology and organization of production process at the Technopolis. In Israel high-tech investment projects like this receive national awards”, noted Roni Miran.
As a result of the two-day visit to the innovative enterprises of Technopolis GS there were reached preliminary agreements on cooperation between Russian and Israeli colleagues.
